7:19 pm - Homecoming.

I didn't go to Homecoming this year. Or any of the dances, for that matter. I was just curious if anyone knew who the Homecoming king and queen were this past fall, and who were the Sweethearts king and queen this year?

11:26 pm - FROM THE GRAVE...

Alright...so sometimes I come back and look through this community and notice how cool it was when people responded to and even posted thier own posts.
It's a pretty cool idea if you think about it.

Now I know LJ is not the massive orgy that facebook or myspace is (yeah, I said orgy) but I still have faith in this...

So, to maybe start some feed-back I thought I would post a topic for discussion...like I used to do monthly:

Snow days...

We haven't had one. Rumors say our superintendent is going for a two year no snow-day record. I personally hate driving in bad weather and we have had a few bad days...What's your take on the whole thing. What constitutes rough weather for you? Is it even worth it to complain?

Memories? Accidents? The joys of snow?...Give us something.

1:01 pm - do it, you won't!

Now I'm not sure how many of you kids saw my shirt on the Senior's last day.

but I wanted to leave school, with one last message.

I made a shirt with a cover of one of Anti-Flag's covers on it
and on the back,
the back had a very important detail.

I'm not sure how many of you are anti-military.
I'm not sure how many of you don't want to join.
I'm not sure how many of you are sick of their constant calls.

Did you know,

under the No Child Left Behind Act, if you attend a public school
all your private information
is directly sent to the military
without your concent.

Wanna do something about it?

I most certainly did.
the fact that this happens makes me ill
the fact that we Americans LET this happen
makes me ill.

I went from getting phone calls from the Navy
seriously, almost daily
to nothing at all.
All my private information
has been withdrawn.

You want to do this as well?

This is what you need to do:

Go to www.anti-flag.com
click enter
go to Militaryfreezone
and from there it will direct you
to the form you need to print out
and if you are under the age of 18
your parents must sign it
[make sure you discuss it with them
my parents were thrilled that i
wanted to opt out]
and turn it into school.

So there ya go kids.

current mood: accomplished

8:39 pm - BHS Opinion-June

I started this a long time ago...posting an opinion/forum type thing and I think I'll bring it back.

Here we go:

What's your opinion on the "Junk Food" Ban* that will take place next year nation-wide at schools? Do you think the government has the right to control what we eat? Will it help the over-wieght? Can and will it make us healthier people?

*The government is placing a mandatory ban/disallow of all unhealthy snack like foods from being openly availble for consumption/purchase during school hours.

Post away.

11:53 pm - Is the word...

Looking for something to do next weekend?
Why not come and see the one, the only...Grease.

The show is being put on by the Boardman Community Theater which is a newly established division of the Boardman Drama Guild. The cast is mostly BHS students, but other students from South Range and some other schools are involved. It's going to be good, you all know the songs...so come or die.

10:08 pm - WHY?

At the top of motion is the point in the swing of a pendulum that the string exerts the greatest centripetal force on the bob. WHY?

Anyone? Anyone at all?

9:41 am - [subject]

Last night, my sadness about the play being over
quickly turned to rage.

Just so you know,
those stage crew kids nailed pieces of wood together
it was me, Sara Sammartino, Christian Wong, and Dave ghoildi [sp?]
who did EVERY SINGLE little detail in that set.
From August all the way up to the final week before the performance
we did nothing but work on that.
And what happens?
the stage crew kids get all the glory
and the art department?
Eventhough without us, there basically wouldn't be a play.

They didn't even get Mrs. Davidson anything
and she put so much of her time and materials in that...
that's what makes me sick.
And if Mrs. Hodge expected us to walk out with the stage crew
she had another thing coming.
We said from the get go, that we were NOT stage crew
i mean, not to piss anyone off, but any trained monkey
can nail pieces of wood together
and move a set around, which is all the did.

It's just very unfair that we did all that work
that we spent SO much time working on it
and got no graditude for it.

current mood: pissed off

4:47 pm - A little Help?

Dear and loyal Community Members...I'm having some computer trouble and want to extend my need for help to all of you.

Here's the deal:
I guess I've got some sort of spyware and such and that has currently made my desktop unopenable...if that makes sense...you know, the start button on the left of the screen, the time and such on the right...all the shortcuts...they wont appear...however, my screensaver and background do...

Now, all my programs still work on my computer via my 'Windows Task Manager'...thus the reason I'm able to update...but getting things going like that isn't fun and a lot of times it freezes...

I was told to use the 'File: New taks (run)' feature on the Windows Task Manager and try typing in 'explorer' when asked too...that worked and brought up my short cuts and such, but then my computer froze and I had to shut down explore.

I'm currently running some new spyware meets virus remover, that just appeared and looks like it has validity and might actually work..but that keeps freezing and not working...I'll let it run tonight though.

Anyway, I cannot, well really don't want too, restart my whole window's programing...and In no way am I computer illiterate...I just need some help, so if you have any advice...or are amazing at computers, let me know.
